A good healer pays good money for their healing goods (i.e. Sweat and other items) to make the miracle essence that is their livelihood. But you will find the prices for the Sweat are not like they used to be.
You used to get more for your sweat, but now because the Sweat Lords have people convinced that they can't make a future HUNTING or MINING or anything else.. there's so much sweat at dirt prices that theres enough to go around and at cheap prices.
You need to start healing right away? Start with the VIVO bought at one of the nearest Trade terminals (TT) for around 9 ped or so. Kill some snabbles and exosaurs on Atlas Haven and get yourself the greater FAP 10 or FAP 15. heal rates depend on your Levels, as you heal with a pack your healing levels increase over time. Same as running and swimming...

For the Psytropian, you need to start with the Implant (beginners Implant is a Lvl I- III, inserted with a device purchased from the TT.) which can run a bit of money, stick it in your head and then get a LVL I healing chip - it spends Mind Essence (ME) to operate, but you will start to level fast, again the level of your healing relys on your skill level and the power of the Chip. To get your skills higher faster in this area you can get a Mind Blast chip which also runs on ME, these also are dropped by Molisks, as are healing chips- another good target is the Argonaut. use mind chips as much as possible and soon you'll be using higher level chips and Implants. The sky is the limit! And happy healing..
